South Africa Self Drive with Victoria Falls

Day 1 : Arrive Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, our representative meets you for a transfer to your hotel. Cape Town is one of the most popular long haul destinations in the world. Due to its unique topography, it is also one of the easiest places in which to orientate oneself as long as you remember that with Table Mountain behind you and Robben Island before you; you are facing north, looking across Table Bay and up the west coast of Africa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : Cape Town

After breakfast leave on a half-day Mother City tour. You will go for a scenic coastal drive through Clifton & Sea Point & later tour passes the Houses of Parliament, the Castle, the SA Museum, and a few other historical sights – District Six, Bo-Kaap, Slave Lodge & ending at the bustling Greenmarket Square. A cable car ride, takes you up the Table Mountain (weather permitting otherwise Signal Hill) for a breathtaking view over the city (entrance is included) Return to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : Cape Town

After breakfast, pick up your rental car from Car Pick up point and day free at leisure. Optional / Suggested: Cape Peninsula & Robben Island. Visit the beautiful Boulders Beach, and have the option to sit among the famous colony of Jackass Penguins.

Day 4 : Cape Town - Franschhoek

Breakfast at the hotel and Check-out. Today drive to Franschhoek - One hour from Cape Town, Famous for vineyards, wine tasting & French town feel. Taste South African wine and enjoy the Cape Winelands scenery during this 8.5-hour wine tram experience around Franschhoek from Cape Town. It is a hop-on hop-off tour is one of the best ways to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class uisine, fine wines and a 300 year history.

Day 5 : Franschhoek - Knysna

Breakfast at the Hotel and check out. Drive to knysna. The Knysna Heads surely is the best known geological feature of the entire southern African coastline. They flank the deep lagoon mouth which is a potentially treacherous channel where the sea pours in to a wide and breathtaking lagoon at the mouth of the Knysna River. Two massif towering landmarks with their dramatic cliffs guarding the lagoon entrance from the surging ocean. Check in at the hotel & relax.

Day 6 : Knysna - Plettenberg Bay

Breakfast at the Hotel and check out. Drive to Plettenberg Bay. A coastal resort town through and through, with mountains, white sand and crystal-blue water making it one of the country’s top local tourist spots. The scenery to the east in particular is superb, with some of the best coast and indigenous forest in South Africa. Check in at the hotel and relax.

Day 7 : Plettenberg Bay

Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend your day in leisure exploring this beautiful place. Highly recommended is Bloukrans Bridge Bungee Jump: It is the world's highest bungee jump! Overnight in Plettenberg.

Day 8 : Plettenberg Bay - Cape Town

Breakfast at the Hotel and Check-out. Today check out and drive back to Cape Town. Enjoy this beautiful route on this self-drive tour. Drop your self-drive vehicle by 1630 HRS at Loop Street. Check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 9 : Cape Town - Victoria Falls

Today check out after breakfast & drive to Cape Town airport. Drop off your rental vehicle and catch a flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival at Victoria Falls, private transfer to your hotel. Check in and day at leisure.

Evening proceed for Zambezi River Sunset Cruise. Travelers will cruise on the upper channels of the Mighty Zambezi River, snacks, drinks, local beers and wines will be served during this tour.

Day 10 : Victoria Falls

Breakfast at hotel. Today morning proceed for the guided tour of Victoria Falls. Known by the Kololo people as Mosi-oa-Tunya, ‘The Smoke that Thunders,’ Victoria Falls is the world's largest sheet of falling water, even though it's not the widest or tallest waterfall. During your time here, visit a vantage point across the Knife-edge Bridge for a view of the Eastern Cataract and the Main Falls, as well as the Boiling Pot, where the river turns and heads down Batoka Gorge. Other vantage points include Victoria Falls Bridge and other Lockout points, which provides panoramic views across the Main Falls. Balance day at leisure. Overnight at resort.

Day 11 : Victoria Falls - India

Breakfast at hotel. Today check out and private transfer to the airport to board your flight back to India.
